In a world where kids' books are so gendered, this book lets a child just be a child. Jamie interacts with their classmates and shows WHO they are as a friend. It's beautiful and highlights the wonderful qualities of cooperation, creativity, and empathy that I want to cultivate in my young daughter. Highly recommended!
